Pannenkoekenhuis Upstairs is the only restaurant that we made reservations to during our time in the Netherlands! Why did we want to eat there so badly? Because, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills went there. If it's good enough for them, it's good enough for us! Thanks reality TV for introducing us to this gem!

Day Trip to Utrecht

Our last destination in the Netherlands was the city of Utrecht! I found Utrecht to be the chiller, less touristy, but just-as-beautiful cousin of Amsterdam. This being our 10th day in the Netherlands, we were pretty tired and decided to just take it easy instead of having an intense agenda. We managed to make it to a few tourist attractions, but overall the vibe of this university town was perfect for a sunny, carefree stroll!

Discovering de Hoge Veluwe National Park

On one of our last days in Amsterdam, my friends Michelle, Michelle, Stephanie, and I decided to head to the Hoge Veluwe National Park to see what the Dutch wildlands had to offer! In fact, I recently hung out with the girls and told them I was writing this blog post, and this is what my friend Stephanie had to say about that trip: "It was so flat. It was so nice to be in flat nature, where you don't have to strain yourself in any way. Also, definitely leave early to get a bike!" So there you go, a spicy lil quote to hype you up. Zaanse Schans: The Town that Smells like Chocolate

In the 18th and 19th centuries, this region was an industrial area with windmills producing oil, paint, spices, and other products. The traditional look and feel has been preserved, and today Zaanse Schans attracts thousands of visitors every year who come to enjoy its beauty and experience the history, canals, and windmills.
