Note: This blog post will be about 90% flower photos. Second Note: No actual skipping through tulip fields were done by us! Because that's against the rules! We follow rules and respect the local farmers!
It's our fifth day in the Netherlands. We've seen paintings. We've experienced culture. We've seen windmills. We ate cheese. Now, it's time to get serious.
In the 18th and 19th centuries, this region was an industrial area with windmills producing oil, paint, spices, and other products. The traditional look and feel has been preserved, and today Zaanse Schans attracts thousands of visitors every year who come to enjoy its beauty and experience the history, canals, and windmills.
